The Secret Agent

Maybe easily pleased, but rate this as the best drama the BBC has had on for years.
Great acting all round.
Worth getting on catch up if you can.

I'll get the book.
Huge fucking dilemmas in the 2nd episode, and Toby Jones does it justice imo.

Had to do the book for English, and as I was forced to read it several times, I absolutely hate it.

Can't agree Ex, thought it was pretty tedious and although Jones is a great actor he seems one dimensional in this, I thought the film from a few years ago, with Bob Hoskins as Verloc was far better

I got bored by the end of the 1st episode and gave up. Big fan of Jones especially Marvellous and Detectorists. The BBC have done many dramas better in recent years. The Shadow Line, Line Of Duty, The Honourable Women and The Night Manager were all far better and that's off the top of my head.
